I accept speaking engagements based on the contents of Characters. Owing and running a small business is hard. Success depends upon a number of factors for which most small business owners (particularly new owners) are not trained or prepared. Knowing how to deal with some of the key characters who can make or break your business can go a long way to making life easier and business ownership more successful. I address thirty-nine of these key characters typically encountered in small business.

A single engagement can be based on one or more of the 39 characters such as, for instance, on one of my particular favourites, the Acquirer. The presentation based on the Acquirer is titled, So What’s My Business Going To Be Worth? It deals with the all-important but neglected small-business topic of thinking ahead to the eventual sale of a business (even if it’s still years down the road) and what can be done now to maximize its future sale value.

This, and other presentations based on key and critical points drawn from a number of the characters, are ideal for business conferences attended by small business owners or discussion groups. Presentations can comfortably be tailored to last from 15 minutes to 3 hours. I use Power Point if it’s suitable for the presentation in question and attendees at group discussions take away a bound booklet.

Initial inquiries about a presentation for your group or conference can be made via the Contact page on this site.
